About Eastmoreland

Eastmoreland is Portland's most exclusive neighborhood — a planned residential community developed in the 1910s around the Eastmoreland Golf Course, with wide, curving streets, mature trees, and some of the largest and most beautiful homes in the city. The neighborhood is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, and the architecture reflects the ambitions of Portland's early 20th-century elite: Tudor revivals, colonial revivals, and craftsman bungalows on lots that would be subdivided in any other city.

The golf course is the neighborhood's defining feature — a public course that gives residents a green buffer and a sense of space that's rare in an urban neighborhood. Reed College borders the neighborhood to the north, bringing intellectual energy and some of the best used bookstores in the city. Crystal Springs Rhododendron Garden is one of Portland's most beautiful public gardens.

Eastmoreland attracts buyers who want the best homes in Portland and are willing to pay for them. It's one of the most stable real estate markets in the city — homes here hold their value because they're irreplaceable.
